Dickenson County Public Schools will be closed on Friday, January 10, 2025. In addition, there will NOT be a Teacher Workday on Friday. The teacher workday will be rescheduled for early next week.
The teacher workday for January 9, 2025 has been cancelled.
The teacher workday scheduled for today has been rescheduled to Thursday, January 9, 2025.
Twelve-month employees will report to work at 10:00 AM.

Just a reminder that Dickenson County Public Schools will be closed from Monday, December 23rd to Monday, January 6th (teacher workday).
Schools will re-open on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. This will begin Semester 2 for our high school students.

Fantastic News from our Ridgeview Scholastic Bowl team!
Ridgeview Scholastic Bowl participated in the Mountain Seven District Tournament today! All seven schools from the district were in attendance. They went against Abingdon in their first round (Score: 340-60), followed by Gate City in their second round (Score: 280-120), and then a second match against Gate City for the Championship (Score: 280-40). As always competing in the Mountain Seven is a privledge, I personally love the community we have created around the game in our Region. Congratulations to our Scholastic Bowl team for winning the District Tournament for the third time in a row! I am so proud of these kids. Our Next Stop will be the Regional Tournament held on Feb 8. I cant wait to see what is in store afterwards.
