DCPS will send meals home with all students tomorrow, Friday, March 13, 2026. Included in the meal is 1 Breakfast and 1 Lunch.

Breakfast provides the strength, focus and energy students need to conquer the day. It also shines a
spotlight on the cafeteria teams who prepare and serve the meals that power every student’s journey.

Dickenson County Public Schools will be Virtual for today, Monday, February 23, 2026. The instructional day will be from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Meals will be sent home with students on Friday, February 20, 2026. The meals will consist ofone Breakfast and one Lunch. Please have your child take advantage of this as they leave school on Friday afternoon.

Ridgeview High School has been officially designated as a Virginia Community School by the Virginia Department of Education. This designation recognizes excellence in school leadership, intentional programming, and partnership development. Community schools build strong partnerships with families and community organizations to prepare each student for success. RHS's designation reflects strong alignment with the Virginia Community School Model and a demonstrated commitment to promoting excellence for all students.

The Virginia Community School Designation fulfills requirements established by the General Assembly under § 22.1-199.7 of the Code of Virginia, enacted through House Bill 1355 (2020) patroned by Delegate Sam Rasoul, which directs the Department to support community schools as a strategy to enhance student achievement through coordinated services, family and community engagement, and sustained implementation. This work also aligns with statewide priorities to elevate educators, support student well-being through wraparound services, and expand opportunities for every learner.
