Dear Staff, Parents, Guardians and DCPS Families,
As you may recall, PowerSchool, the student information system used by Dickenson County Public Schools and thousands of school divisions across the country, experienced a cybersecurity incident in December 2024.
The purpose of our letter is to remind our DCPS families that following the cybersecurity incident, PowerSchool also offered and made widely available credit monitoring and identity protection services for a period of two years to our students, families, and staff regardless of whether they were individually involved.
We encourage all those who were offered these services to take advantage of them: Please click on the link below to receive the available credit monitoring and protection services:

If you have any further questions, please contact Ryan Wallace, Director of Technology, at rwallace@dcps.k12.va.us.
Kindest regards,
Haydee L. Robinson,
Division Superintendent
