Description of responsibilities:
The Reading Specialist works closely with classroom teachers to enhance literacy
instruction, assess student progress, assist each grade level in preparing effective
lesson plans, and collaborate during planning sessions to implement targeted
reading interventions. They also work alongside classroom teachers to develop
individualized reading plans for students who are not on grade level or are
considered at risk. Their primary goal is to help students achieve grade-level
reading proficiency and develop lifelong literacy skills.
