Dear students, parents and guardians:

We are in the final weeks of the RMS March Madness Attendance Challenge, with a school goal of 90% for the month of March. The Final Four homerooms with the best attendance in their brackets will be narrowed down to the Final Two today. The winning homeroom gets a reward trip to Mr. Gatti’s in Pikeville on Tuesday, April 14th .

Below are a few of the upcoming events in April. All scheduled events are subject to the weather.

Photogenius will be here tomorrow, March 31st , for spring pictures. Pictures are only for those students who bring money to pay in advance. Sports pictures are also available for those students who pre-pay and have their uniforms.

April is Autism Acceptance Month and April 2nd is World Autism Acceptance/Awareness Day. Everyone is asked to wear blue on Thursdays this month to show their support.

A PTO meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15th , at 4:00.

“I Can” day is presently scheduled for Friday, April 17th .

Reminders:

Before a student can ride home with another student, notes from both students’ parents have to be sent to the office to verify permission.

Calls from parents about bus or student pickup changes need to be made before 2:30 in the afternoon to make sure that the message gets to the children. There is no guarantee that the messages will get to the students if someone calls after that time.

Also, lost and found clothes will be set up in the lobby. Anyone missing clothes should check on those items this week.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call me at 835-1601.

Thank you,

John R. Whitner
